Volunteers needed!! We need volunteers to help prepare the donated items (cleaning, sorting, pricing, etc.) as well as individuals to help with heavy lifting to move and arrange larger donated items. Dates help are needed are Aug 1 through Aug 11.

With just 6 shops, motivated fiber artists can do it in a day or slow down & make it a weekend! Grab some friends, take the scenic route, and find some great places to visit! You’ll go visit Columbus, Nashville, Bloomington, Princeton, French Lick, and Jeffersonville. They’re all beautiful towns with different things to offer.

This year’s Barn Sale will take place Thursday, August 7th through Saturday, August 9th from 8am to 4pm daily at the Away A Day RV Campground.
Thousands of gently used and new items will be for sale, donated by the community. You never know what treasures you might find.
Furniture, antiques, collectibles, household items, boats, bikes, toys, holiday decorations, books and records, CDs and DVDs, garden equipment, tools, electronics, pet supplies, craft supplies, artwork, and SO much more!
Volunteers needed!! We need volunteers to help prepare the donated items (cleaning, sorting, pricing, etc.) as well as individuals to help with heavy lifting to move and arrange larger donated items. Dates help are needed are Aug 1 through Aug 11.

Trail 7 is rated moderate, but should be considered rugged in the dark. The trail has some staircases, uneven surfaces, and muddy spots. It is 1.2 miles and will take about an hour and a half to complete. Please do not bring pets on night hikes. Red flashlights are preferred for night vision and can be loaned to hikers on request.

This year’s Barn Sale will take place Thursday, August 7th through Saturday, August 9th from 8am to 4pm daily at the Away A Day RV Campground.
Thousands of gently used and new items will be for sale, donated by the community. You never know what treasures you might find.
Furniture, antiques, collectibles, household items, boats, bikes, toys, holiday decorations, books and records, CDs and DVDs, garden equipment, tools, electronics, pet supplies, craft supplies, artwork, and SO much more!
Volunteers needed!! We need volunteers to help prepare the donated items (cleaning, sorting, pricing, etc.) as well as individuals to help with heavy lifting to move and arrange larger donated items. Dates help are needed are Aug 1 through Aug 11.

Learn about the history of timber rattlesnakes, including how this animal became an American symbol in the late 1700s on the Gadsden Flag. Learn how over a million visitors a year safely share the state park with these animals. We’ll also discuss venom, how it works and is delievered, and how Indiana’s venomous snakes compare to the rest of the world! At the end, we will feed the timber rattlesnake a live mouse. Please be aware this program involves live animals. A live snake feeding may not be suitable for all guests, particuarly children. Brown County has a rich history of photography from the early photographers who traveled from house to house, capturing images of the recently deceased and their families, to the development of photography as fine art.
Frank Hohenberger created a career as an art photographer and writer, leaving a photographic and written history of early life in Brown County and the formation of the Brown County Art Colony. The legacy of these early photographers continues as today’s cameras still focus on the natural beauty that is Brown County. New technology has expanded the possibilities for the modern practitioner, allowing creative bending and image enhancement for the professional and the amateur alike.
The Brown County Art Gallery invites area photographers to enter the “Snap” exhibit. Professional Photographer Rodney Margison will serve as curator of the exhibition. Photographers, 18 years and older, both professional and amateur, are eligible. Those curated into the exhibit will be notified of drop-off dates. All work may be offered for sale with a 25% commission to the Brown County Art Gallery Foundation.

Learn about the history of timber rattlesnakes, including how this animal became an American symbol in the late 1700s on the Gadsden Flag. Learn how over a million visitors a year safely share the state park with these animals. We’ll also discuss venom, how it works and is delievered, and how Indiana’s venomous snakes compare to the rest of the world! At the end, we will feed the timber rattlesnake a live mouse. Please be aware this program involves live animals. A live snake feeding may not be suitable for all guests, particuarly children.
